Greetings friends...just a quick update. Charlie and Jason have been writing non-stop in preparation for the new project. They'll be heading to Seattle in April to start recording drums and guitars. Then the plan is to come home and finish the recording here in Wisconsin. If all goes well there should be a Sept 08 release. Wish them luck.

Craig Walkner has decided to take his career in a new direction and will be moving to Austin, TX.  He will be missed. We had him for 3 great years. We wish him well and hope to crash his pad whenever we're down in TX. Below is message from Craig.

"Fans and Friends...I've enjoyed many unbelievable performances, fun times, vans burning up, cars slamming into buildings, had the best wine of my life (thanks Jeff and Deb!) and met so many great people over the past two-and-a-half years performing with Bascom Hill, however I've decided to take the next step in my career and relocate to Austin, TX, to pursue other musical endeavors.  I want to thank the members of the band for their support and wish them continued success, as well as thank YOU, the fan, friend, and family member, for your support over my time with the band.  My last gig with the band was actually this past Thursday, ironically at the place that I had my first gig with the band, at McAuliffe's in Racine.

Keep checking my myspace page and personal web site for further updates.  And just think, come January, when I'm lounging by the pool, eating some BBQ with a mojito in hand, you'll be shoveling all that snow and freezing your bums off.  Take care everyone, and keep in touch!"

What an incredible year it has been for us. We owe it all to you...our fans and friends. We were able to travel to far off places like Austin, TX and North Dakota. Chicago to Minneapolis and Sioux City, IA to Milwaukee...Our favorite Town!

Lots of people have ask all year long when the new album is coming? Or when we will release new material? Well, for those of you who've followed us through the years...You know we like to procrastinate. Not by choice...But more or less distance. Kind of hard to write songs when to people writing live 2 hours from one another. Which is why after Nov 1st we will be taking and very well deserved vacating. Or working vacating for Jason and Charlie. Over the next few months we will continue writing and recording a new album with hopes of a release in LATE spring. But we'll see how it goes.

Before we go, make sure to check us out Nov 1st at McAuliffe's Pub. It's sure to be a blast. It's the last show and we're going to feel like having a party! See ya soon!

Be kind to your fellow humans!

It's been a while....but we have been busy. The past few weeks have taken us all over the Midwest on a mini college tour...and it's still not over! Talk about corn fields! Man!

It's taken us to the great city of Wausau, WI to Minot, ND...Just to head back to Kenosha, WI, where we grew up, to play a charity show to help out the Boys and Girls club. Gotta support the good causes. Then we made a quick stop at UW Dubuque. Great people there....but we couldn't stay to really find out. We  had to be in Sioux City, IA six hours later. If that didn't kill us.....We then trekked 7 hours across endless corn fields to play a show in Fond du lac, WI. They know how to treat a band! Thanks for Lunch!

We still have a few more dates coming up in the next few months before we take a little break from playing live. So get to as many as you can now! It's hard to say when we're going to start back up again. We still have songs to write, albums to record, and are all in need of a very relaxing break! Those who've been following us around know that we've been going solid since the 2005 release of Maybe. It's time to start something new. So we hope to see many of you soon before the recess. Take care and be nice to your local bands! Meaning....Go see them live and show support!

Big things are happening for Bascom Hill. First off, the boys are headed to SXSW March 15th & 16th for two industry showcases. On Thursday, March 15th 9:00PM, they will be performing at Cheers Shot Bar as part of the Red Gorilla Music Festival. On Friday, March 16th 9:00PM, they will be performing at Fuel as part of the Texas Rock Fest. Hopefully they'll arrive safely and without burning their van down this time.

If you've been tuning in to MTV  you may have noticed some familiar music in the background on several reality shows. That's right! Bascom Hill's music has been featured on MTV's Real World Denver, Engaged and Underage, and True Life. If they're not playing videos anymore, at least they're playing some good music in the background!

We hope to see you all soon at a show, social gathering, or even at the local pub. Keep spreading the word about Bascom Hill. Everyone new fan is a step in the right direction!

Greetings friends. This could be long winded.....but, we just wanted to give everyone a quick update on what BH has coming up in the next few months. Aside from a lighter than usual tour schedule, Jason and Charlie will be sitting down to write new music and then getting together with the rest of the guys to work on arrangements and such. We've just found that playing live all the time while trying to write really puts a damper on things. So, hopefully this will allow us enough breathing room to really explore some new sounds and ideas for a possible follow up to "Maybe". Those of you who have made it to recent shows have notice some of the new tunes making their way into the sets. For the rest....You have to come out and see.

On Nov 18th, you may just get a taste of the new ideas and songs we've been working on. Plus, it's a great benefit in honor of our dear friend Tati, who lost her life this summer in a car accident. We'll be unplugged and may even have a few old friends join in. Hope to see you.

Be kind to your neighbors!
